Job Title : ERDAS Technical Support
Job Location : Loughborough
Reports To : Director and General Manager
Responsibilities
• To provide a consultative support role via telephone, email, or web portal, to assist in maintaining company commitment to customers across the UK
Main Duties
• Installation and setup on client site of server based software solutions
• Logging, tracking and feeding back software defects and enhancement requests
• Delivering training either from the existing prepared courses offered by ERDAS or consultative training as specified by customer request
Qualifications
• Minimum of BSc (Hons) Degree , MSc desirable but not essential
Experience
• Strong background in remote sensing, photogrammetry or GIS
• Familiarity with and ability to communicate remote sensing, photogrammetry and GIS technical terms and/or technical information
• Familiarity with spatial data models, spatial databases and data management strategies (including work with Oracle Spatial, MySQL or Postgres)
• Familiarity with some of the range of Intergraph ERDAS products including ERDAS APOLLO, ERDAS IMAGINE, GeoMedia would be of benefit
• Knowledge of at Least Javascript, HTML and CSS, to enable liaison with customers regarding use of web clients
