ERDAS LPS

Photogrammetry made easy
LPS (formerly Leica Photogrammetry Suite) is a range of integrated software applications for production level photogrammetric work flows. The LPS range of tools is able to triangulate, produce block models and generate digital elevation models (DEMs) and orthomosaics. LPS supports a wide range of sensors and continually keeps these models up to date (Worldview-2 is supported for instance).

The base functionality of LPS Core allows the user to orthorectify data and produce orthomosaics. The work flow includes: interior orientation; GCP (ground control point) measurement; a sophisticated automatic tie point generator; multi ray point measurement; triangulation and DEM preparation. LPS Core is equally happy using one or two input images or vast numbers of images covering a wide area.

MosaicPro, one of the most powerful mosaicing tools available, is now included as standard in LPS Core.

LPS Core can be extended by utilising one or more of the add-on modules available:

LPS Stereo

• Comprehensive functionality for all types of stereo visualisation
• Increases efficiency and productivity when collecting and editing control points
• Multiple linked windows for display and mensuration
• Image enhancement tools included
• Allows high precision data collection

LPS eATE
While LPS Automatic Terrain Extraction (ATE) is still available, providing automatic extraction of DTMs, this module has now been superseded by eATE. eATE was released as part of the 10.1 half-yearly update, and features a completely new design and updated algorithms.
